Baugyte

Le Baugyte is a bioclimatic group gîte set in a large wooded park with picnic tables.

In the far south of Burgundy, in the heart of the Brionnais bocage, soon to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this gîte is located on the edge of the "Véloire" greenway and close to the Loire River, offering a host of nature activities. The Romanesque Cluniac church of Baugy, listed as a historic monument, and the nearby village hall make this a charming place to stay, and also make the gîte an ideal venue for weddings.

We offer bike and canoe hire (Arganoé). All shops are 5 minutes away in the town of Marcigny (supermarket, cinema, theatre, swimming pool, restaurants, etc.).

The Brionnais region is located at the south-western end of the Saône-et-Loire département, in the southern part of Burgundy between Paray le Monial and Roanne.
It is in contact with the Charolais region to the north, a hilly landscape of hedged farmland.
The region's main centres are Marcigny, Semur-en-Brionnais, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages, Chauffailles, La Clayette, Saint-Julien-de-Civry and Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais, famous for its weekly cattle market (Charolais cattle farming).
The Brionnais region is bordered by three rivers: the Loire, the Sornin and the Arconce.
