Galerie d'Art Inis

Francesco Gallo in reference and sign of respect to his origins has chosen to call himself INIS an acronym meaning "Io Nato Ievoli Sono"(I was born in Ievoli). As a child, at the age of 15, he went to Naples to enroll in the Beaux-Arts and at the age of 20 he arrived in France and settled in Maurienne (Savoy) where he gave himself body and soul to his art in order to be able to live from it... As he says it so well "painting takes a whole life ... you start one day, but you never finish ...". The artist has been able to detach himself from the work of his beginnings to arrive at a universal writing which is the reflection of values in which he continues to believe and which he intends to share. His markets, lively and colourful, are an invitation to travel his harvest scenes, a tribute to the peasant world where his source of inspiration was the Massif des Bauges. His paintings delight the senses, in a burst of warm colours, in the image of a human, passionate artist, faithful to his origins. An artist whose popularity continues to grow, INIS exhibits in major French and international galleries.
