In the former Royal Auditorium of Châtillon sur Seine, André offers the curious, history buffs and/or old stone enthusiasts a family room comprising 2 bedrooms, ideal for 4 people.
The 56 m2 chambre de Dessins is on the first floor (the gîte is on the ground floor) and has a 180x200cm bed and a shower room with walk-in shower and WC.
The second adjoining bedroom has two single beds (90x200cm). The whole is very comfortable (courtesy tray, flat-screen TV, sitting area) and spacious (80m2).
This unique room, steeped in history, will give you an unforgettable experience. This 16th-century building was once a town hall, a magistrates' court during the French Revolution, a prison and then a library.....That's why breakfast is served in a dungeon or, in fine weather, in the former prisoners' courtyard.
Many parts of the building are listed as historic monuments, including the dungeons
