From prestigious Silmo launches to award-winning collaborations, Maison Sekimoto embodies the harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation in high-end craftsmanship.
Maison Sekimoto was born of the encounter between Satoshi Sekimoto, Meilleur Ouvrier de France in Haute Couture embroidery, and Laurent, a native of the region and an expert in the luxury sector. With their complementary skills and experience, they created Maison Sekimoto with the shared vision of promoting embroidery in the luxury, craft and art sectors.
In 2022, the brand was launched at the Silmo show in Paris, with an innovative partnership with another Meilleur Ouvrier de France. In 2023, Maison Sekimoto collaborated with Lafont, a famous Parisian eyewear manufacturer, for their centenary, creating the "Ouvrage" model which won the Silmo d'Or 2023 "Prix Spécial du Jury".
Satoshi Sekimoto, passionate about fashion since his youth in Japan, perfected his Haute Couture embroidery skills in France, winning the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2015. He has worked with renowned houses, developing expertise in architectural embroidery.
Laurent, originally from Plan de Cuques, and Satoshi, who recently made his home in the hills of Pagnol, joined forces in 2022 to create Maison Sekimoto. Drawing his inspiration from the natural world that evokes Japan, Satoshi's exceptional mastery of beads and sequins brings to life collections of embroidered objects that capture the magnificent light of the South. Maison Sekimoto's creations, from cicadas to bees, resonate in harmony with the essence of Provence, where the Gilda earrings breathe the freshness of Provençal spring, and the lampshades in the architecture range evoke the South's love of brilliance.
The launch of this new brand also reinforced their commitment to excellence. In 2023, Laurent had Satoshi's experience recognized, awarding him the title of Maître Artisan d'Art. Satoshi insists on giving embroidery a soul, making it generous, brilliant and fun.
