The Frédéric Mistral square is located in the heart of the city, at the top of the Cours Mirabeau and at the corner of boulevard Frédéric Mistral and rue Lamartine
It offers a small space for relaxation on the banks of the Cadière River, while marking the entrance to a very old medieval district already devoted to gardens and winegrowing, the Via Clausa, now rue Lamartine. Redesigned in 2018, the square is now embellished with a bench, resting chairs, and a dozen Mediterranean plant species participate in the landscaping of the river
The old stele dedicated to Frédéric Mistral, a tribute to the poet founder of the Félibrige, has found a new place there, where commemorations in his honour are now held, organised by the Provençal associations of the commune.
