The horn, the bassoon and the oboe - we've all heard their signature melodies since childhood, those of a certain wolf, a grumpy grandfather and a poor duck... They were composed with genius by Prokofiev almost a century ago. But in the middle of the orchestra? Not so easy to place the timbres and forms... In order to see and hear them more closely, four musicians and teachers from the Conservatoire d'Auxerre are offering us a Midi in the form of a musical close-up. It's a chance to admire these gleaming keyed instruments from every angle, to soak up their vibrations like enlightened amateurs in the making. To bring the winds to their zenith, the piano will accompany the horn, oboe and bassoon in four trios chosen from German Romanticism (Carl Reinecke and Heinrich von Herzogenberg) and French modernism (Robert Planel and Francis Poulenc).
