Expression of my work
With the RAKU", my ceramics are subjected to the uncertainty of the inferno. For me, it's a return to the creative fire.
It's from the earth that I try to bring out the energy of air, fire and water. Defects and risks are sought to express my creativity and the uniqueness of the pieces. In the frescoes, characters and various objects I create, I like to evoke writing, rock or African art and symbolisms. In my work, I use primitive techniques such as earthenware, stoneware and raku. Although earth is my preferred material, I like to combine it with other materials. My work is resolutely contemporary, combining contemporary art with the know-how of traditional methods.
