The quiet, peaceful village of Haegen is an ideal base for hikers and cyclists.
Thanks to the many trails marked out by the Club Vosgien, everyone has the opportunity to discover the ruined Châteaux Forts, the Grand and Petit Géroldseck, located on the heights of Haegen and freely accessible all year round.
They reflect the prestigious past of the Saverne region, once the impregnable territory of the Archbishopric of Strasbourg.
Archaeological remains such as the Tour du Brotsch - also visible on the heights of Haegen - bear further witness to these riches.
Religious heritage also abounds, with the Chapelle Saint-Quirin, an object of pilgrimage every year, and a 12th-century Cimetral Chapel.
