Ronces

Capucine Lucas opens the pages of a fantastical tale with a bluish, frosty allure, revisiting the figure of the witch, symbol of emancipation and resistance, with vitality and passion. A choreographic work of multiple emotions, Ronces is a tribute to those inescapable heroines, constantly reinvented, who haunt the imaginations of children and adults alike. All too often mistreated, burned and caricatured as old, bitter and afraid, the choreographer wishes to show them as rebellious, stubborn, combative and joyful. On stage, three remarkable performers bring to life these witches of yesterday and today, objects of fascination and repulsion, in a powerful, impetuous dance. The subtle scenography and music accompany the journey of these strong, free women who defy the laws of nature.
