Eleven performers, eleven courses, one timer, one goal: to accumulate ten minutes of flight in the air during the performance. Salto is the latest stunning creation from El Nucleo. Much more than a weightless time trial, this show is a laboratory for acrobatic experimentation, a study of inequalities and an ode to emancipation. Trampoline and teeter-totter decorate a stage conceived as a playground, a space for confrontation as well as collaboration for these acrobats, singer and musician of diverse nationalities. By reaffirming the strength of the circus collective while emphasizing the individuality of each performer, Salto defies social determinism and the laws of gravity in a galvanizing quest for freedom.
