Mickaël Phelippeau fell under the spell of the Major's Girls majorette club in Montpellier.
There's Josy, the captain and daughter of the founder, a majorette since 1964. Around her are three generations of women, aged 40 to 75, who rub shoulders every week, recounting the twirling jetés, the fear of falling, the travels and the competition fever. The friendship that binds them, the transmission and the passion for the demanding.
The choreographer makes the movements iridescent, isolating steps and cadences to better reveal the personality of each dancer, giving the group its strength.
