As a visual artist of rural origin, I like to work with raw materials that I can take directly "at the source". The wool answers perfectly to this criterion. Coupled with an extraordinary plasticity, it joins completely my passion for sculpture!
I get my supplies directly from breeders or through the various projects that have been developed to develop local wool, such as Bergelaine, in the north of the province of Luxembourg.
In partnership with a breeder from Nassogne, Thierry Mulders and two creative colleagues, we started, with a new project in 2017; Ell'laine. It is about taking a further step in the valorization of local wools, i.e. a transformation on a larger scale. One ton of wool was transformed into felt via a German company. A mottled color felt, gray beige, as you can see in the creations, clear and warm.
As you can see in the creations, the transformation of this felt occupies the main part of my creative activity. I was able to join to that a technique of screen printing based on extracts of dye plants for my greatest happiness!
Do not hesitate to follow me on my Facebook page to follow my latest creations!
With felted steps, to keep the contact with the earth, while having the head in the stars!
